If we have an equation (x+1) sqr = x sqr
We can get
x sqr + 2x + 1 = x sqr
hence x = -1/2
but why can't we perform a square root on both sides and end up with an equation
x + 1 = x
which doesn't make sense but technically is doable.... AM I MISSING SOME SIMPLE FUNDAMENTAL RULE?
