The marked answer is awkward and wordy.

'Which had the simple thesis' can be made more concise (to have something can usually be made more concise by using some kind of possessive form- in this case, as it is a clause, it would make sense to use the pronoun 'whose').

Saying 'the thesis of consumers having' is also awkward. A thesis will usually 'state', 'deal with', put forward the idea that', hypothesize, etc....
