I don't have an answer for your observations. I just feel like David has implemented this game in an awesome fashion. If we had expaned our team for this game, it would have probably pushed the launch date for the game sometime in November. I have a feeling that if I ask everyone who's playing right now what they'd prefer:
- everything goes seamlessly, but they win prizes one or two months from now
- people get the help they need (through courses, consulting packages, BTG Practice Questions etc.) now rather than later, but the game occasionally needs the smallest bit of adjusting
over 90% would say the prefer the second option. That's because people in general are aiming for R2 deadlines and the likes.
Sometimes I feel like people are missing the whole point of this game. By reading some of users' complaints and feedback, it just saddens me to see that people sometimes forget the big picture: what's the ultimate reason why you're here? To win a contest? Yes, it's thrilling, it's exciting and David did an awesome job with it. The prizes are simply amazing and they reflect a huge effort on the part of everyone, the team and our sponsors.
However, players' primary purpose should be to Beat The GMAT and get into the school of their dreams. David implemented the quiz function with just that purpose in mind: people need to learn stuff from this experience. I feel like sometimes we need to take a step back and remind ourselves of this.
Don't panic if something doesn't go exactly as we/you have planned! Stuff will get fixed, we don't just ignore your comments. Last week I believe, David answered some comments from over the weekend a bit later because he was working on getting more prizes for you. Would you prefer more prizes or... ?
