Hi,

I am going through the MGMAT SC guide.

Below is one problem in the book where I need to identify the error(s) (if any) in the verb constructions of the sentences.

If she had had more money, she will have bought herself a new dress.

My answer is

If she had more money, she would buy herself a new dress

whereas the book says:

If she had had more money, she would have bought a new dress.

Can someone explain why?
