Test Points

On average, what is each problem worth, point-wise? Like say a person misses a math problem, does that equal -1, -5, -10, etc towards the total gmat score? How does that work generally?

It's hard to be exact but I've heard on average that skipping a problem on the GMAT costs 3-4 points (https://www.beatthegmat.com/skipping-the ... t7642.html). In terms of the other direction, how much does getting a question right on the GMAT count--that's a complete black box. Due to the computer-adaptive nature of the GMAT, more difficult questions are weighted more than less difficult questions, but it's not clear to anyone outside of GMAC how that works.

Hope that answers your question. Good luck!
