Look at the class profiles for the schools you are interested in. You will be able to see the median GMAT score for matriculating students. That should give somewhat of a guideline for what you need. However, keep in mind that the MBA admissions process is holistic, and a strong GMAT score does not mean an automatic acceptance. If you are from an over-represented group, you may likely need a GMAT score above the median as well as other factors that will help you to stand out.

Its your overall profile that matters, GMAT is something like 25%. The rest are work experience, Extra curriculars & accomplishments, your career goals and other essays.
Getting defeated is just a temporary notion, giving it up is what makes it permanent.
