For what it's worth my Veritas test score was 70 points lower than my two GMATPrep tests. Hoping to try some new CATs over the next few weeks.

I took the First VP CAT Today. Here are my 2 cents:

* I do think that the Quant section is easy. I have taken both the Gmat PREP CAT's and the first 2 MGMAT Cat's. I think the order of difficulty is MGMAT > GMAT PREP > Veritas Prep. Although i found VP to be easy (quant)i think it is more similar to GMAT PREP then MGMAT. MGMAT quant is too calculation based and involves quite a bit of number crunching and "steps" whereas the VP questions although easier then gmat prep do simulate the nature better (nature of questions). I do not know whether the algorithm is tweaked differently so that it is more sensitive to wrong answers then MGMAT or GMAT PREP which could then mean that the scoring would be balanced to some extent. Overall i have scored the lowest on MGMAT QUANT (40,42) and have scored a 45, 47 on the two gmat prep's and a 47 on the first VP. I saw no probability or P & C question and only 3-4 Geometry questions. A lot of word problems from Rate-Work, and a ton of Number properties questions like the real thing.

* Verbal seemed to be tougher then the actual test and the MGMAT test. The RC passages seemed to be longer (except the short passage which was rather short) but were much better worded and similar to GMAT PREP when compared to MGMAT. CR was tricky and at times debatable but i would say it was HARDER then GMAT PREP or MGMAT. I found SC to be a bit easy but maybe it was just the case that i got easier questions as i got a few SC questions wrong in a row. I got 33 correct and scored a 40 in V which is smack in the middle of my 2 gmat prep scores and a full 2 points higher then my best MGMAT score, I however was knocked back by quant on both the MGMAT CAT's so that must have effected my verbal performance.

* Overall a good test, but not as challenging in quant as MGMAT , RC and CR definitely is challenging and i think this did put me outside my "comfort zone" . From the first test expereince i would say that it is closer to the GMAT prep than MGMAT which for me under scores by around 50 points.

Timing: I finished both sections with around 3-4 minutes left. I Guessed randomly on IR and got a 6 :-) .. MGMAT always pushes me with quant (have not been able to finish the quant section in either of the 2 CAT's) and the GMAT PREP always pushes me with Verbal...
