Does anyone know why your immediate score is "unofficial"? Are there every any problems in how the test is scored?
I know this may be wishful thinking, but I think my score may be off for a few reasons. One, the testing center I was at supposedly had some major computer issues the day previous to my test day, and no one was able to take the test. I'm wondering if that may have something to do with their scoring being off.
I also felt like I was acing the verbal portion, and performing better than any other verbal portions of practice tests. I was getting tough questions and passages, yet I felt like I was getting them correct. My best Verbal score on any practice test was the Preptest one made by the GMAC, and I scored a Verbal score of 47. However, on test day I scored a Verbal of 40.
Again, this may totally be wishful thinking, but has anyone ever heard of the "unofficial" score being wrong, due to incorrect grading or something of that nature? I just can't think of any other reasons why the immediate score would be "unofficial" unless there is a possibility of scoring errors.
I plan on writing the traditional "I beat the GMAT" post in a couple days, detailing my approach to the exam. But for now, here's my scores from yesterdays offical GMAT:
Q 48
V 40
Total 710
