MBA Ding Analysis

by GyanOne » Mon Feb 06, 2023 10:42 pm
Image

When you’re applying for an MBA program, it can be hard to know what really makes the difference between a ding and an admit. Is it your GMAT score? Your essays? The strength of your recommendations? How about the school you went to? Or the company you work for? It’s never just one thing. But if understanding how decisions are made is part of your strategy for getting into business school, then you need to know that—believe it or not—there are patterns behind those decisions. And better yet, those patterns are discoverable. Most people who apply to business school think they’re not in control of their admissions destiny. They think they have to take whatever comes their way and accept “no” if they get it. But this idea is extremely flawed..MBA Ding Analysis

by GyanOne » Tue Feb 07, 2023 10:18 pm

It has been a matter of argument which aspect of your MBA Admission is most important & requires undivided attention. Though some experts argue that essays and GMAT preparation are crucial areas, the resume is still the game changer in your entire application. It deserves equal attention in listing your achievements and career trajectory, as your college essays. A resume is the one place where the admission committee has a clear breakthrough of your profile and understands you holistically; it is the best summary of your academic, professional & personal history, and accomplishments. Yes, resume samples, depending on the college, are helpful, but they are only there to give an idea of how to begin..MBA RESUME

Candidates view the GMAT as a make-or-break situation, where they often consider it the most critical aspect of their college application. But there is little correlation between the GMAT and academic performance during the MBA, as long as the candidate achieves a particular score on the GMAT. The admissions committee evaluates an applicant’s profile on a no. of factors; yes, the GMAT is one of them. But the primary question they need to answer is, Can This Student SucceedAnd Perform Well? For this, they evaluate evidence of past success and brilliance. Every university is unique and has its evaluation criteria, where certain schools will place more weight on past performance while others will tend to bend in favour of brilliance..GMAT Preparation

5 Cliche’ Weaknesses in MBA Interviews

by GyanOne » Wed Feb 15, 2023 8:07 pm

You know that moment. The one who makes the interviewer roll up her eyes takes a deep breath and sheds some tears. Okay, maybe not the last one. While most MBA applicants are just fine during the remainder of the interview, they almost inevitably make mistakes when asked about their weaknesses. Heard about the MBA applicants who looked too good, did excellent work, got promotions, got along famously with colleagues, and then regretted every one of these qualities? Neither have we! And yet, hundreds of MBA applicants will use exactly similar qualities as ‘weaknesses.’ They think they’re being humble or can fool the interviewer (yes, some of them think that way!), but they cannot..Weaknesses in MBA Interviews

MBA abroad for PSU employees

by GyanOne » Fri Feb 17, 2023 12:04 am

The first thing that needs to be kept in mind before going abroad is the cost of education. The cost of education differs from one country to another. For example, the cost of education in the USA is much higher than in other countries due to the higher cost of living. In addition, scholarships are not guaranteed in the USA or the UK.
Therefore, it is important to research the cost of education in the country you are planning to study in. Additionally, you should look into ways to reduce the cost of education, such as scholarships and grants. Finally, you should make sure you have the financial resources available to cover the cost of your education..MBA abroad for PSU employees

The ISB essays 2022 have one surprise – a change in the first essay of the essay set. This essay had been used for the last two years, and so a change was due. The essay is on your personal and professional qualities and capabilities. The answer should be grounded in a concrete example of how you have added value to a peer group or team in the past, and how you can do it now. Think about a time when you went above and beyond for a peer group or team. What did you do and what was the result? How did your actions benefit the group or team? What specific qualities or capabilities did you draw on in order to be successful? For example, maybe you stepped in to lead a project when the assigned leader was struggling. Or maybe you took on extra work in order to lighten the load for a team member who was going through a tough time..ISB essays 2022 – 23

Kellogg MBA essays

by GyanOne » Thu Feb 23, 2023 12:09 am
Image

The Kellogg MBA essays are different from those of most other schools because these essays require you to think, introspect, and then craft. Unlike other schools, Kellogg does not have a long goals response (they have a shorter 240 character response in the application), and its essays focus on who you are and how you do things. These are the central things to keep in mind when approaching the Kellogg MBA essays. The Kellogg essays are also something that the school attaches a lot of value to, and successful applicants have leveraged them very well in the past..Kellogg MBA essays
