Traditionally, candidates for elected offices have concentrated their efforts on the early stages of the campaign during which, most people believed, the voters' perceptions of candidates were formed. It is now becoming clear, however, that elections can be decided in the few days preceding election day; public opinion polls taken during recent elections provide evidence of several such races. In those cases, the losing candidates would have been well advised to have forgone early spending and instead saved funds for television advertisements late in their campaigns.

The conclusion above assumes that which of the following is true?

A) No candidate for elected office can mount a successful campaign without allocating a large portion of campaign funds to television advertising.
B) The losing candidates described would have won their respective campaigns had they not spent as heavily in the early stages of those campaigns.
C) The winning candidates described accrued more funds throughout their campaigns than did the losing candidates.
D) Candidates who spend a large amount of their campaign funds on television advertising are more successful than those who spend the same amount on print advertising.
E) The losing candidates described would not have eliminated their chances of winning by spending less in the early stages of their campaigns.

After a critical analyses of the options given, here is the strategic conclusion drawn;

In Option A - CORRECT.
This statement has assumed to be the most suitable conclusion of the writer. Over the years, during election period Television Advertisement has helped the winning parties to win the election because, people tend to believe what they see and hear on Television than every other advertisement strategies. That is why it is advisable to invest large portion of campaigns funds to television advertising from the early stage of the campaign to the final stage of the election period.

In Option B - INCORRECT.
This statement would have been right but, it lost it concentration by talking about just the funds spent at the early stage and forgetting to advise on the use of Television Advertisement at the late stage to win the heart of people to vote for them.

In Option C - INCORRECT.
The winning party didn't just win the election because they accrued more funds during their campaign but rather because, they were able to manipulate the people heart by pumping more funds into television advertising s at the later stage.

In Option D - INCORRECT.
It is true that candidates who spend large on television advertising have every tendency to win, but that does not mean that those that used the print media advert too are not successful with their campaign its just the difference in target audience and the reach of the medium used that differentiates them.

In Option E - INCORRECT.
This statement can be presumed true, but, what if at the later stage they were not able to spend maximize the right medium of advertisement ''Television'' to achieve and gain their target audience interest?, this may also lead to their failure.
