100:60:40 = 5:3:2
Total = 120 therefore Tom = 5*12 = 60 and Harry = 12*2 = 24
Diff = 36

Ratio of amt paid will be 5:3:20 (100:60:400(approx))
120*((20/28)-(5/28)) = 120*15/28 = 64.something
(E)
They further decided to share the total expenses in the ratio of the amounts of money each carried. The amount of money which Tom paid more than what Harry paid is

A. 120
B. 200
C. 60
D. 24
E. 36

The OA is E.
(100-40)/(100+60+40)*(104+16) = 60/200*120 = 36

Choose E

The Question is not right, Hurry had 40 $ and with this assumption E is correct.
