by preetha_85 » Wed Nov 12, 2008 3:21 am
The computer software being designed for a project studying Native American access to higher education will not only meet the needs of that study, but also has the versatility and power of facilitating similar research endeavors.

(A) but also has the versatility and power of facilitating
(B) but also have the versatility and power to facilitate
(C) but it also has the versatility and power to facilitate
(D) and also have the versatility and power of facilitating
(E) and it also has such versatility and power that it can facilitate

OA is B

but why not A

IMO B

Meet and facilitate are parallel

Also, "To facilitate" is acceptable

It can't be B

The subject 'computer software' is singular

so 'has' should be used instead of have..

Am i Missing something?

even if you missed 'will', u gotta keep the idiom parallel and need 'have' in the correct answer, which is only done by B.

underline the stem for god's sake!!!

Niraj plz chek the link provided by Mals...

I agree that parallelism should be maintained w.r.t idioms but here since the sentence is in future tense it calls for a ..have as indicated in option B..

take out will(which i missed) and see whether u will get ..have or not..

Thanks
