Researchers have announced that the magnetic fields emitted by one manufacturer's security surveillance system, of which type there are 200,000 worldwide, can interfere with pacemakers and that this interaction can bring on missed or irregular heartbeats, nausea, breathlessness, dizziness, and even fainting.

A. of which type there are 200,000 worldwide, can interfere with pacemakers and that
B. of which, worldwide, there are 200,000 of that type, and which can interfere with pacemakers, and
C. of which type there are 200,000 worldwide, they can interfere with pacemakers and
D. 200,000 of which type exist worldwide, interfering with pacemakers, and

D. 200,000 of which type exist worldwide, interfering with pacemakers, and ------> ing form not required
E. 200,000 of that type existing worldwide and can interfere with pacemakers, and

out of A and E, I would go with A option........wats the OA?????

IMO A

E. That type refers to what? also it's not balanced on both sides of 'and'

Whereas A has a clear sub clause after 'that'

removing the of phrase (which is modifying the security system - correct me if im wrong here)Q reads as follows:

options D and E seem to ask a question, of which type?

B-Researchers have announced that X and which can interfere with pacemakers\
C-Researchers have announced that X and they can interfere with pacemakers and

A- Researchers have announced that X can interfere with pacemakers and that Y - maintains parallelism too..that X and that Y
so A it is.

No Doubt A is correct answer.

@Pranay ..I think you are wrong here as 'which' in A does not modify magnetic fields but it modifies manufacturer's security surveillance system

Grammatically A and D are correct to me, but there is a technical problem in D.

COMMA + VERB-INGmodifies the entire preceding clause and retains subject of the preceding clause.

Example:

I have scored high in math, leading my average score to a standard one.

Leading modifies the entire preceding clause.

if we think "lead" as a verb, I is the subject of the verb.

I lead the score to standard one.

Now,

Think about D:
200,000 of which type exist worldwide, interfering with pacemakers

Conceptually 200,000 is the subject of "interfering". Can a number interfere? nope. So D is wrong.

Answer is A though I don't like "there are".
