At a school fete, 3 chocolate apples cost $6 but 1 chocolate apple with 2 chocolate snowballs cost $3. If 1 chocolate snowball costs 30 cents more than the cost of 1 rock cake, how much, rounded to nearest dollar, would it cost to buy 1 chocolate apple, 1 chocolate snowball, and 1 rock cake at the school fete?
A. $6
B. $5
C. $4
D. $3
E. $2

The real question is why anyone would want to buy a rock cake. Yuck!

(But those chocolate snowballs do sound scrumptious! :D)

Hi dariolux,

You are correct, but are you uncertain about your answer? You can PROVE that you're correct, but if you have any questions about the work that you did, then you should post your steps and explain your thinking.
