The board of directors of Aqua Pharmaceuticals has requested the representatives of the new ecological brand to elaborate and further discuss the proposal to add the brand to the company's products so the members of the board have all the necessary information.

I think it should be A. Experts please help!

I think it should be A
Appropriate preposition with elaborate is on.
Only D has on.

However, i think it is bit too subtle for GMAT SC.

Just curious about the source of this question. I had the impression that the GMAT would require the subjunctive with "request," e.g. "the board requested that the representatives elaborate on the proposal." I know that verb is sometimes used with the infinitive informally, but I'm not sure how standard it's actually considered in American English. If I saw a question with "request" on the GMAT, my immediate assumption would be that it was targeting the subjunctive.

Thanks, Ali Tariq -- much appreciated. Very interesting: the use of the infinitive with "request" is a construction I associate more with British English, so that makes sense. I'd be surprised if the GMAC permitted it, though.
