TAKING GMAT TOMORROW JUNE 4

Post
Hey All

Just want to say that i love this site and forum, definately has given me a lot of tips and advice for my studies. On that note, I am taking the GMAT for the first time tomorrow. Any tips for test day? Ive been studying since late Feb. Any last minute guidance or test day anxiety strategies would be great!

Thanks

Try to stay calm and i read somewhere that a chocolates helps in alleviating tension, so you can try that Smile
Also don't study anything new today. You can revise flash cards once and take a chill pill Very Happy

My advice: breathe

When people are under stress, their breathing become more shallow and this reduces the oxygen in their blood. This reduced oxygen makes you feel even more anxious/stressed (hold your breath, and after 30 seconds you'll begin to feel it).

Deep breathing will help reduce your stress and help you focus on the task at hand.

Best of luck tomorrow!

Cheers,
Brent

Hi,
Be composed while taking the test. Sometimes, we feel we have made mistakes, lose our composure and later realize that we have done correct. So, never panic in exam. Don't go with a preconceived notion that you should do this section well and all. Just adapt to ur test. Have a good sleep tonight and do some physical/mental activity in the morning to keep your mind fresh. Use your breaks efficiently. As Mr.Brent has already mentioned about breathing exercises, I don't need to add anything about that.
Good Luck & beat the gmat!!

I thought you have some luck with Chocolates but you know what they are not only delicious but also beneficial to brain and enhances mood. Natural stimulants boost the production of endorphins that improve focus and concentration. Milk Chocolates improve verbal and visual memory and boost impulse control and reaction time. Dark Chocolates rich in flavanols, boost blood supply to the brain and help improve cognitive skills. Nuts are full with anti-oxidants and omega-3 and 6 fatty acids that boost brain power and mood.
