a+1/(cb+1/c)=16/5
a+c/cb+1=16/5
acb+a+c/cb+1=16/5

acb+a+c=16
cb+1=5
cb=4

5a+c=16
a=3
c=1
b=4

3+1+4=8 B.

So in other words what they are saying
16/5=3 + 1/5= 3 +1/(1+4/1).

We got to be thinking something like this when you are given only one equation with 3 unknowns, just to save time and avoid errors.
