Also in D, there is a subject verb agreement error.
a rise- singular.
make- plural

That is yet one more reason to eliminate D.

A little more discussion will do no harm maybe in the above thread.
IMO B
cos' them is 1. and 5. does not have clear antecedents.
Again is the parallelism being addressed.
