Study Schedule?

by Grad2Be985 » Sun Dec 02, 2007 5:53 pm
Hey everyone,

Well all my GMAT books just came in the mail - I got the comprehensive OG and the Quant/Verbal OG's. I am excited. my question is what is the best study schedule to go through all of these problems? I want to study 3-4 days a week for about 2-3 hours each day with a practice test every two-three weeks. I have not scheduled the test yet however I would like to take it end of early feb if possible (and if i feel my scores are good).

Anyone have a successful study schedule they used?

One thing you can do very easily is to calculate the number of problems you would need to do per day to meet your schedule. Note that OG11 contains 800 problems and each of the OG review books contains 300 for a total of 1400 official problems.

One thing you must note is that ideally, each problem should take about 4 to 5 minutes (2 minutes to do the problem and 2-3 minutes to thoroughly review the solution). Some problems (such as the ones you get correct) will necessitate fairly less time in review though.

Given that, you can calculate the appropriate amount of time needed...
