16 teams.
1st team plays 15 games
2nd team, barring the first team, plays 14 games.
3rd team, barring the 1st and 2nd teams, plays 13 games.
and so on.

So, the solution is actually sum of first 15 numbers.
15*16/2 = 120.

simply put 15+14+13+12... and so on till 1 = 120
that's the answer ! :)

Felt that the easiest approach is just using combinations. There are 16 teams and 2 teams play each game. There total number of combinations is 16C2 = 120

I added from 16 to 1 got 136 !

knew something went wrong

tried with 4 teams A,b,c and D

realized 4 can.t be counted so leaving 16 gives 120

Answer is E!

16 different objects in different combinations of 2 where order does not matter:
16!/(2!14!)=120

Order doesnt matter so use the combination formula:

nCr = 16!/2!*14!
= 120

OA = E

= (15/2)*16
= 15*8
= 120

16P2=120 is the answer because each team palys 2 matchs with each other .It will be a example of permutation not combination.
