There are three examples for parallelism:
I want to retire to a place WHERE I can relax AND THAT has low taxes. (Incorrect;Where and THAT not allowed when "where" can be used again)
I want to retire to a place WHERE I can relax AND WHERE the taxes are low. (Correct)
I want to retire to a place WHERE I can relax AND the taxes are low. (Is it correct ?)
Normally, we can consider where is in the beginning for both the clauses i.e.
I want to retire to a place WHERE
I can relax AND
the taxes are low.
or for wh words (where, how, whether etc), there is strict parallelism to be used ? Source of the first two sentences is Manhattan SC Guide.
