What is the greatest possible area of a triangular region with one vertex at the center of a circle of radius 1 and the other two vertices on the circle?

A. squ. root 3/4
B. 1/2
C. pi/4
D. 1
E. squ. root 2

is the answer B?

since we know that one of the side is 1, so the largest length of the other side is 1. so A = 0.5bh = .5*1*1 = .5
