@mundasingh123 : Look carefully what elements are parallel . You can't put anything parallel.

GMATMadeEasy is right!

In this case it is "become too crowded" that needs to be parallel with "or spread." As in "become too crowded or spread." Resulting does not need to be parallel as it is a modifier.

David,

It is wonderful post and suggestion. In your example sentence, I initially thought error type is parallelism. Then scanning the answer choices , I found two split "and" and "or". Upto this point , I was going fine. While trying to choose between two,I fell for the trap and choose "and".

It is very important to scan the preceding statements to choose the correct option. And also when we have 2/3 split, probability of greater split wins most of the time (in this case 3) .

So U mean modifiers cant be in parallel

Thanks a lot David.The best example I have seen so far with regard to ellimination approach in SC.That's terrific.
