Though it is an old post, Vivian, can you please elaborate again on E vs B.
related question: If i am not wrong, i read in one of the BTG posts that pronouns such as "it" modifies the nearest noun. If thats correct and universal, "it' ,in E, modifies communist party vs the nearest noun the person.
