eternal_optimist, thank you for the idea about cut-off. That's what I'm going to ask today while visiting the University.
Anyway, do you think if it's possible to improve verbal part in 1 month?
Thanks,
Marina

Need your advice!
Hello guys! I just came home from the GMAT center! Scored 540 (M 42, V 23). Obviously, verbal is my weak part as I'm not a native speaker. I was struggling for the last two weeks in order to get more points on this part, but still not there. My university asks for 550. Do you think that I have a cha...

Adam and Vivian , your help is incredible! From what I understand, if I can raise up my verbal score, I’ll be able to reach the target limit? For example, M 36 and V30 will work out, right? What if I have M 40 and V 25, will it bring me to 550 Score? Vivian , you are right, I have to concentrate ...

Amazing! AdamKnewton, thank you so much for your detail explanation. As far as I understood, the amount of right answer is not as important as its difficulty level. For example, even if I tackle 50% advanced questions, I can get a decent score. Right? But how to get to that level? Probably, it's a r...

Rahul, thank you so much for such detailed explanation. At some point I thought that everything is clear for me, but then I realized that I'm mixed up with x^2>y^2 Let's take an example: x=3, y=2 x^2>y^2 as 9>4, then |x|>|y| if x = -2, y = -3 x>y, but X^2<y^2, and then |x|<|y| Could you please tell ...

Ok, thank you, not it's clear! I found that I barely understand this sign |x|.
What if there is a statement x^3>y^3, then |x|>|y| is true because the power is odd, right?
