Thanks for the wishes...

I took the first GMAT Prep after completing 3 tests each of Kaplan, Princeton and 800 score.com.

800score.com tests gave me the confidence to go for the GMAT Prep tests.

GMAT 720... My GMAT Experience

Hi, Finally I have decided to write a post on my score. I am running late by around 18-20 days as I thought of my score to be just okay. But after talking to a lot of fellow students and people, I found that it was not so okay. So here is my story: I started my preparations by giving the diagnostic ...

Hello Bryant,

Thanks for the reply. I had actually thought of applying to other international schools when I started this thread.
I had INSEAD, LSB and SLOAN on my mind.

Let us see what I do now.

Thanks,
Himanshu Joshi

From 660 to 720...

Hi All, I am an Indian and like most other Indians, I also aimed at scoring 700+ at GMAT. I started my preparation in August 2009 but did not get into the groove until January 2010. I gave my first attempt on 6th Feb 2010 and scored 660. I was broken as I had been scoring 720+ on all the mock tests....

The question is simple because other options are all wrong at first sight. Here is my explanation: A. According to a recent study about monozygotic conception, identical twins reared apart from each other showed striking similarities, including many idiosyncrasies of behavior. (Both the modifiers ar...

It has to be 'E'.

Do not use participles when simple past tense could have sufficed.

'Had found' should be used when finding happened before magnetization which is not the case.

Please let us know the OA.

I have come down to 'A' and 'C'

I think 'A' is better than 'C'.

In 'A', the subject is 'boosting' while in 'C', the subject is 'rates'.
Rates cannot have the impact but the 'boosting' can have.

So I am going with 'A'.

I will try to explain it... B will contain all numbers from 3*1+7 to 3*x+7 Sum of all numbers = 3*1 + 7 + 3*2 + 7 + 3*3+7 + ..... 3* x + 7 which is equal to (3x/2)(x+1) + 7x. Let it be Y Range of numbers = 3*x + 7 - (3*1 + 7) which is equal to 3(x - 1). Let it be Z. From (i) we have Y = 275. The equ...

I will go with 'E'. Here is my explanation: (A) to survive (Required alone should be used as in 'required for'. Required to should only be used in 'Require X to do Y' kind of phrases). (B) of firms to survive (Required of is weird) (C) for surviving (Survival is better than surviving. So eliminate t...

I am going with 'A'.. I have drilled down to two answer choices - 'A' and 'B'. My reason to choose 'A' is that 'B' is 'too' concise.. (A) in regard to the issue of the budget deficit, an unanticipated rise in interest rates has (B) on the deficit, an unanticipated rise in interest rates has Let us s...

In my opinion it is 'E'.... What is the OA? I will try to explain 'E': Correct idiomatic usage is 'Require X to do Y'. Only one statement 'E' has the construction.. Given the high amount of money laundering and tax evasion, federal government promulgated new tax laws requiring that citizens attest p...

This is a very simple question. Here is my explanation: According to the question, the law was passed somewhere in 1880s but the adjudication is continuing even after a century. Only option 'A' uses the form 'has'. So it is the correct answer. (A) has been necessary to develop and enforce the princi...

I do not think 'A' is correct. The above explanation is correct to limiting the options to a & b BUT a contains errors. Here is my take: 1. ' power to facilitate ' is better than using ' power of facilitating '. 2. If we look for parallelism seriously, we see that we need to make the parallelism...
