740 - Glad and relieved

Hi Guys, I owe a post to this forum as it has been a constant source of support and motivation through my preparation. Just finished with my GMAT a few days back and got a 740 (49|41). Though was hoping for atleast a 50 on Math, I am quite glad with an overall 740. I'll try and keep this as precise ...

Was just curious since the file sizes of the 2008 file and the one I downloaded yesterday were different.

Older installation of GMATPrep software

Hi, I just gave a GMATPrep exam from a GMATPrep software that was downloaded 2 years back (2008). I wanted to know if the scoring would have been different had I downloaded GMATPrep software in the more near future (say a week back). Does anyone know if GMAT updated scoring data in the GMATPrep soft...

Kevin,

That's what I am not sure about. How do we know "having" is referring to US and not Mexico or any other word.

I realize this is a fundamental question, but it would be great if you can help me answer this one.

Census Bureau

This has been discussed before but I found no convincing answer: A March 2000 Census Bureau survey showed that Mexico accounted for more than a quarter of all foreign-born residents of the United States, the largest share for any country to contribute since 1890, when about 30 percent of the country...

I encountered the same problem in one of my tests and am not sure if the answer is either C or E. B alone can solve the problem. If the number of students who are not studying biology is taken as 'x', then the number of girls in the class is '2x'. Equating numbers on both sides (since total no of st...

Palomar Observatory

An OG 10 question. I found this question on another thread but the answer was not convincing enough Astronomers at the Palomar Observatory have discovered a distant supernova explosion, one that they believe is a type previously unknown to science. (A) that they believe is (B) that they believe it t...

We are told that spending on food to be consumed at home - purchased mainly from supermarkets - grew only 20 percent. We cannot deduce that spending on food to be consumed at home that is not purchased in supermarkets actually rose. If a + b has increased by 20% (a- spending on home-consumed food p...
