Hi hypermeganet, I don't think a 680 (even with that pretty low quant score) will be an automatic deal breaker that those schools. I think you can also still apply to Anderson and Sloan with a 680. I would just be careful not to come off as sounding too much like you're making excuses in your optio...

Low Quant Score, high GPA.

Hello, I am about to submit my R2 applications and I wanted to just run something by you guys before hitting the button. I took the GMAT on Saturday (1/9) and scored a 680...but my breakdown was a 39Q, 44V. I had some extenuating circumstances (basically there was a loud jackhammer running for a por...

I've always had questions like: Why an MBA, discuss your management style, take me through your work history.

Honestly, I find these to be much, much easier than those in person.

Low Q, high V GMAT; unusual profile.

GMAT: 680 (39Q, 44V) Undergrad: University of Pennsylvania GPA: 3.83 Major: Natural Sciences (no calc classes as an undergrad though - plenty of other hard sciences where calc is needed; one grad-level stats class that I took pass/fail - passed at 99% but that's not on transcript). WE: 3 years FT pr...

Isn't it A?

2 is the ones digit of 32 but 32 isn't composite. So 2 alone isn't sufficient.

If the number is greater than 20, and the tens is a factor of the ones digit, it can't be prime, ever.

B is correct.

124*5 = 620.

Since we're looking for the MAX of the smallest piece, we want the numbers greater than the median to be the smallest they can be: 140.

x + y + 140*3 = 620

x + y = 200

X and Y = 100 if we're trying to find the maximum since any adjustment makes one number smaller.

The use of "their" is the key here. Since we have a noun (visitors to the park), the possessive pronoun (their) in the second part of the sentence will refer to the noun. The second noun (rhinos) will need to have the possessive pronoun/noun ascribed to it. So we know that one of the ones ...

I spent 3 months studying for the LSAT (I took it on 9/26) and the CR on the GMAT is similar. From what I've seen, "hard" CR questions on the GMAT are about equal to "easy" or "medium" LSAT questions. But, to that point, it might be overkill learning LSAT methods for CR.

Definitely D. As a side note, this stimulus is stolen almost directly from an LSAT exam.
