Congratulations! I understand why you feel disappointed...but hey..the good thing is 730 is no bad score, definitely not something that colleges will hold against you (I am sure you are aware of this).
Time to take a few days break and then focus on apps. Which colleges do you plan to apply?

Hi, not sure I followed you in the second para.....are you implying that the actual GMAT score is likely to be higher than the average score on MGMAT? May I also solicit views from Stacey from MGMAT on my below post.....it is really important! Yep...I do think that the average of MGMAT scores is go...

IMO C.
Sickness, sleeping on the job, fatigue among shift workers - these three have been reduced, while production efficiency has been increased.
What's missing in the original statement is an 'AND' before 'fatigue'. C fills this correctly. 'Was lowered' eliminates E.

I agree with you, the MGMAT quant section is definitely a lot tougher than the GMATPrep and probably the GMAT too. I have given 3 CATs till date and have had to hurry on the last 5 questions on all of them. MGMAT is lenient too with the scoring, you can get a high score even after making lots of err...

Consider the four letter as E _ _ R We are asked to fill the remaining two letters. Since E & R has already been picked form MEDITERRANEAN what remains is M D I T R EE AA NN So we have to pick 2 letters out of 11. But the important thing here is that E , A & N are repeated. So we have 8 uniq...

So why can't you multiply the 2nd equation by 7 which will give you: 7x - 2y > 0 7x + 7y > 0 and then subtract the 2 eqns which will give you -9y > 0 As a general rule, you can add inequalities but not subtract them. For example, consider: 6 > 4 and 4 > 1 we can add them and know that: 10 > 5 but w...

B is the only logical inference that we can draw here.
The population rose by 5% and consumption of cigarette rose by 3.4%.
So the per capita consumption (which is consumption/population) must have reduced since the consumption increased at a lower rate compared to population.

(1) gives us x > 5 or x < -5. So NOT sufficient. (2) gives us 2x > -7 . x can can be 0, -3, -2,-1, 1, 2, 3..(all positive nos)...and still the equation holds. So not sufficient. Combining the two, we can see that the only values that satisfy both are numbers > 5. Hence x > 5. So this is sufficient.

What made you go for a A? (1) gives is 7x > 2y Consider these x = 1, = 2. Yes y > 0 x = 2, y = -1. No y < 0 So A is not the right answer. We can easily prove that (2) alone is not sufficient. Combining the two: 7x -2y > 0 x + y > 0 Multiply second one by 2 and add. This gives. 9 x > 0 So all we know...
