MBA Open House --- Should I attend?
There is an on campus Open House coming up for a school I am reapplying to. I applied late (Aug), got an interview but was unfortunately not accepted. Is it still worthwhile to attend as far as helping me get in?

Someone please tell me how unrepresentative MGMATs questions and CATs are of the real thing. That'd be really encouraging. Thanks I thought the MGMAT CATs were tougher than the real GMAT. But they did that for a reason since to get a top score you'll have to get the tough questions right. As far as...

Why Our MBA Essays
How much knowledge and familiarity with the program is necessary for the Why Our School part of the essay? Obviously some research is required but is it imperative that I have a working understanding of the program or is the information provided by each program on their website enough to satisfy rea...

I think it's best to get the negative thoughts out of your head. If you've prepared well and are confident during the test then you'll have a better chance of succeeding. You've taken the mocks and so you've seen where you are. That's the beauty of CATs---you are what you are. The only thing that'll...

If you plan on using other Prep guides (Manhattan, Kaplan, Veritas, etc) then it definitely doesn't hurt. It's good to take it fresh so you'll have a good basis on where you need to improve.

Getting my timing down, not going too fast or wasting too much time on a single problem, helped me immensely. Try to see if you have a mock available that will let you set the time per question instead of just a total time. This way you can train yourself to have an internal clock and will give you ...

Thank you Kaneisha. I do plan to reapply to UF early this time around but my concern I will have had less time to improve myself to make myself more appealing compared to people who applied early last year, were rejected but now have had a year to improve. I'm certainly taking steps to improve my ch...

Rejection after interview---still apply next year?
I decided to apply late to University of Florida, like one week before orientation started, since I saw spots were still available and figured I'd give it a chance. I got an interview but I only had a few days to prepare and once the interview came I was a bit overwhelmed and didn't perform so well....
