napkin ring
Hey, GMAT beaters... Here is a riddle you could find in the GMAT: I made a cylindrical hole in a perfect sphere with an electric drill, and took out the two extremities of the sphere to get a nice napkin ring. Mum is very happy! http://www.decoavenue.com/prod/img1641.jpg Cut, my napkin ring is now 6...

I think it should be C - EXCEPT that it needs to have an "of" between "strengthening" and "the economy". This must be a typo. This is a question of Practice Test 2 of GMAT Prep. I confirm that there is no "of" between "strengthening" and "the e...

Wether you hurry at the end or not, does anyone know about the scoring (bonus, malus...) ?
: At the end, if you face some unanswered questions, is it preferable to answer each of them, or to leave the questions as they are ?

My strategy was : To get as close as possible to 7^120, I temporary state that n^80 = 7^120 This makes: n^80/7^120=1 n^80/(7^(3/2))^80=1 n/7^(3/2)=1 7^3 is easy to calculate: 343. Hence: n<SQU(343). I know that 20^2=400 and 15^2=225. Thus, my answer is directly B) : 18. This was a good questi...

Not in mine... it does clearly ask for R(n/12), which makes no sense.Ian Stewart wrote:In the version of the paper test that I have, it does ask for the remainder when n^2 is divided by 12, and not when n is divided by 12.
Nevertheless, thank for your confirmation, Ian !
