Managing your irrigation system well and watering your grass wisely not only saves water, but helps to ensure the success of your lawn.

saves water, but helps to ensure the success of your lawn
saves water, but also help to ensure the success of your lawn
saves water, but the success of your lawn is more helpfully ensured
save water, but also help to ensure the success of your lawn
save water, but also the success of your lawn is more helpfully ensured

The correct answer is D.

This question asks whether you know the idiom.

Not only A but also B (A and B parallel)

the subject of this sentence is plural connected by "and"

therefore, eliminate A, B and C right away.

between D and E, it should be D.

not only save the water but also help...... (save and help, parallel form)
