Request for Profile evaluation

Hi - Would appreciate a profile evaluation based on the following Full-Time MBA programs
ISB
NUS
Nanyang
Carnegie-Mellon Tepper
Chicago Booth
Insead
Yale
Darden
Ross

GMAT - 650 (47Q / 33V)

Undergrad: Bachelor in commerce
Professional Degree - Chartered Accountant (Institute of CA India)
GPA: 3.4/4

Work Experience: 6 Years (28 years old)

Currently working as a Credit officer (Corporate Banking) with Bank of America,India. Also worked on a secondment with the Bank in Chicago (6 months). Strong financial analysis background.

I am currently looking for a career enhancement and move into the client side of Corporate Banking as a banker.

I am also attaching a copy of my resume.

Hello,

I did not get the attachment with your resume. Based on what you have said in your post, your GMAT score will be a problem when looking at the US schools on your list. Most of them are looking at 700+ scores so that you would be in the bottom 10% of their classes. In fact, you will be competing against many technically-trained applicants from India with 700+ scores. The Asian schools tend to have slightly lower GMAT averages because of the large number of students for whom english is a second language. Your excellent quantitative score should be attractive to those schools. Your verbal, at 36%ile, will be less of a barrier to those schools.

Your work experience is good and the length of time should be an advantage. Your essays will need to make a clear case for why you want to move to the client side.

All the schools on your list are very competitive and turn down as much as 80% of their applicants. If you are determined to go to school next year, you should be sure to add one or two safety schools to your list.
