Hi bm2012, like Jon said, there's a general positive perception of US MBA programs, after all, the MBA designation did originate in the US, and the country's home to the world's top b-schools. My personal advice to you would be to study in a reputable Asian B-School, if you have plans to work in Asia, this is a logical choice - physically being in an Asian country would allow you to experience the life and culture in the region in a more intimate fashion. Studying in an Asian B-School would also naturally expose you to many more opportunities and jobs that are within the region - even if the companies are international, your education in an MBA program tailored for business in Asia would make you much more suitable for job posts within the region.
I study and work in Singapore, this country is one of the best Asian cities to get an education in. There are 3 local universities you can consider if you decide to take up your MBA here, they are - NUS, NTU, and SMU. These are the programs that I feel would be most relevant to you -

However, while I took a step back and delved deeper into business school profiles, a question has been tinkering which has brought in some doubt with respect to pursuing a MBA in the US. Would an MBA, except from H/S/W, add value if one were to do business in a Asian country? Would it be advised to pursue a MBA from an Asian country if future career aspirations centered across the region?
