Will applications be underrated if..

Hi,

(i) Is there any issue if we take GMAT exam many times?
Will the application be underrated when applied to good universities?

(ii) I have one more question. Will much importance be given to TOEFL exam? I mean if one gets a good score(700+) in GMAT and a TOEFL score of 90-(IBT), will the application be underrated ?

Any insights on my questions would be greatly appreciated!

1. People usually say that you should not take the GMAT more than three times unless you see significant improvement. Fact is, you don't want to seem stubborn to the committee: if the GMAT is not your thing, then focus on other parts of the application and that might offset a low score.

2. TOEFL scores are generally used as "cutoff values". Basically, if you get above a certain value, then you don't really need to worry about a thing. Most schools will post TOEFL requirements on their websites. For instance, I know that Harvard asks for a 109. Most schools will require far less than that, though. But I'm sure that if you can pull off a 700 on the GMAT, getting over 105 on the TOEFL will be no big deal. You can check out more tips and reviews on our TOEFL forum:
