If we consider the whole passage both B and D are true, but in the passage "Aversion Conditioning" is mentioned as a tool to train rats to avoid a punishment.
Here is the exact sentence " using aversion conditioning, trained another group to avoid electric shock" ==> So B is the answer.

D is correct.
B is intended to mislead.

way to reduce an needs to be highlighted.
We are trying to find a way to...
reduce something..

look choice (D)
It has the keyword (reduce)
