(A) that it was the one vector of African culture that there was no possibility to eradicate
Out - Awkward construction
(B) the one vector of African culture that could not be eradicated
Correct answer - modifies the word music properly.
(C) for it was the one vector of African culture, and that it was impossible to eradicate
Out - Awkward, wordy...
(D) a vector of African culture that there was no possibility to eradicate
Out - again awkward. B is a better choice
(E) as being the one vector that could not be eradicated from African culture
Out - toss out any choice with the word being in it (at least for the GMAT SC questions)

Shouldn't "the one vector of African culture that could not be eradicated" be placed next to music, as this is modifying a 'noun', i.e. music.

this phrase is an absolute phrase (noun + noun modifier) that can be placed freely in the sentence.yash_agg2001 wrote:Shouldn't "the one vector of African culture that could not be eradicated" be placed next to music, as this is modifying a 'noun', i.e. music.
