If x and Y are integers and x^2 = y and y^2 = 27 x and xy = 27 than what is the value of x-y=?


I am feeling very demoralised that i am not even able to solve this easy problem . It looks so simple but still....

any solution please?

xy = 27 and x^2 = y
Replace y with x^2

x^3 = 27
implies x= 3

now x^2 = y
Hence y = 9

x-y = 9-3 = 6.
