kaplan sc doubt

The J.C. peny chain of retail stores broke with its conservative cash-and-carry policy during its 1958 reorganization for deciding to sell on credit.

A. Same
B. for the decision at its 1958 reorganization to sell
C. when it was reorganised in 1958 for its decision to sell
D. in deciding during its reorganisation in 1958 to sell
E. by deciding at its reorganization in 1958 on the selling of

Explaination along with your answer will be a gr8 favor.

I hope the original sentence is:
The J.C. peny chain of retail stores broke with its conservative cash-and-carry policy during its 1958 reorganization for deciding to sell on credit.

A) I don't see any error in this sentence.
B) reorganization of what? Doesn't convey the meaning.
C) the ''it'' in this option can either refer to the retail store or the conservative policy.
D) doesn't explain why it broke with its policy.
E) "on the selling of" on credit doesn't sound correct.

My answer is A.

since it broke WITH some it should be FOR something,
hence i go with B

B. for the decision at its 1958 reorganization to sell- perfect acc to my logic

peny chain of retail stores broke with X for the Y....doesnt this look awkward..

A and B are out:As it says "1958 reorganization"
C: "for its decision to sell" is wrong usage
E:Its wordy and incorrect usage

I find D as a relatively better answer out of the rest.

Guys,
Look at the kernel of the sentence.

The store broke with its policy.... to Sell on Credit.

A: For deciding to sell on credit is worng and awkward.
B: for the decision...to sell is wrong as it suggests that the store broke the policy first and then decided, whereas, the decision is normally taken first and then action is taken.
E: selling of is wrong and does not match with to sell.

C is the correct answer free from above errors.

The J.C. peny chain of retail stores broke with its conservative cash-and-carry policy in deciding during its reorganisation in 1958 to sell.

What is the OA in your records!!!

B. for the decision at its 1958 reorganization to sell (its 1958 wrong as its is possessive form so it gives the idea that 1958 belons to the company)
C. when it was reorganised in 1958 for its decision to sell (changes the meaning of the original sentence as no where it is said company was reorganized fo that purpose)
D. in deciding during its reorganisation in 1958 to sell makes sense think of it as in deciding to sell on credit during reorganization
E. by deciding at its reorganization in 1958 on the selling of (this changes the original meaning as the original sentence does not mean the decision was taken during reorganisation)

Note the following sentence
Climate change is a factor in deciding whether xxxxx
Climate change should be factored in when deciding
