PS question of OG 10 questions

Ques 438 which of the following cannot be median of three positive integers, x, y, z?

a x
b z
c x+Z
d x+x/2
e X+Z/3

How we can eliminate option e X+z/3

Pls clarify?

Ques 433 of og 10 One of the number line, the segments from 0 to 1 has been divided into fifths, as indicated by large tick marks and also into sevenths, as indicated by small ticks. What is the least possible distance between two ticks.
a, 1/70
b 1/35
c2/35
d1/12
e 1/7
I am not convienced by the ans 1/35 pls help

Solution:
For "fifths", the tick marks are at 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5 which is same as tick marks at 7/35, 14/35, 21/35, 28/35.
For "sevenths" the tick marks are at 1/7, 2/7, 3/7, 4/7, 5/7, 6/7 which is same as tick marks at 5/35, 10/35, 15/35, 20/35, 25/35, 30/35.

So, the minimum difference is between 15/35 and 14/35 and between 21/35 and 20/35 which is 1/35.
