I was a clinical director at a local non profit organization until 2 years ago when my daughter was born and I quit my job to be a stay at home mom. During the first year, I stayed on as a consultant with my previous employer working limited hours. I stopped after a year when my daughter started to take less naps and it became impossible to schedule conference calls or get any serious work done during her waking hours. Prior to being a stay a home mom, I worked for about 8 years. I have an undergrad degree from a top 10 university and a master's degree in counseling from a top 5 school. I am now thinking about an mba program to help me change career direction and climb the management ladder in the philanthropy area. Does being a stay at home mom give me less chance of being admitted? will it be better to get back to the work place first and apply after a year?
I just bought my gmat prep book so don't know how well I'll do on the GMAT yet.
