Profile Evaluation - GMAT 710

Would you please be kind enough to share your insights regarding the schools in which I should apply?

Here is my profile:
GMAT 710 (Quant 48, Verbal 40)
GPA 3.75 (Production Engineering and Management, 1998)

Full time Work Experience 14 years ( 2 months - TATA Motors, as Automobile engineer, 9 years - Infosys, from Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Project Manager, Account Manager, 5 years - AIG, senior program manager)
Part time Work Experience 9 months with TATA Steel in India as Trainee.
Achieved average to superior performance ratings throughout. Got top band a few years.

Was in 7 clubs in engineering college including leadership roles.
Reached national level debate competitions several times during college days.
Was selected best student in 3 large Indian states in 10th.
Was awarded merit certificate for being one among top 0.1% students in mathematics in 10th standard.

Want to eventually go in public service and strategic consulting for governments.

Your background looks solid, in terms of work experience, academic background and extra-curricular involvements. I would suggest that in terms of next steps, you choose programs which are strong in the area you hope to work in post MBA, and that you absolutely apply R1. You might try looking at Carnegie Mellon (Tepper), Insead, University North Carolina and LBS.
