Hi Everyone,

As the subject implies, I've just completed my 2nd attempt at the GMATPrep Test #1 and achieved the EXACT same score. Before anyone asks, YES, I've followed the 60-Day Guide to a "T".

Has anyone done this themselves, or heard of this happening before? Could any Experts out there share some study tips?

The only thing I can think of is that I'm not learning from my mistakes. I'm putting the time in but evidently I'm not studying effectively. My plan now, in addition to following the remainder of the 60-Day Guide, is to identify my weakest subjects and practice, practice, practice.

Thanks!!

It's hard to determine what's going on.

Did your Math and Verbal scores match your earlier scores, or did you improve in one area? After all, on day 23rd, you've covered only the math concepts.

Cheers,
Brent

Hi Brent,

My Math and Verbal scores were nearly the same, Test #1 660 Q40/V40, Test #2 660 Q40/V41.

I know that I still have the Verbal section coming, but I need to revisit Math because something didn't sink-in. Any ideas on how to revisit Math more effectively this time?

Here's a thought: I've read on BTG about the "40/60" rule, which says to spend 40% of your time answering questions and 60% reviewing your incorrect answers. I admit that I haven't spent quite this long reviewing incorrect answers, and thus perhaps I'm not learning from my mistakes. Thoughts?

Well, the good thing is that the Study Guide gives you plenty of time to work on any weaknesses.

Are you recording your answers in the Error Tracking tool? That will help identify areas of weakness.

Also, be sure to review all solutions until you fully understand them. These are important moments for learning.

Cheers and all the best,
Brent
