IMO. Both would suffice as a negative in this case.

None of the above!

The opposite would be "at least one of them learned about something".

Is there any difference between "either...or" and "at least one of them"?

Either...or means that one of them did the thing and not the other...
Atleast one of them means that either one of them or both of them did the work...
