It's quite likely that the 'best' practice resources for you are NOT books, but until we have the results from that first CAT (and we know your particular strengths and weaknesses), we won't know what you need to work on. Most Test Takers purchase the main OG (and sometimes the Quant-centric and Verbal-centric books) for the practice problems - although it's important to note that those books were NOT designed to teach you the tactics, patterns and 'secrets' to the GMAT.
