One tip that I found useful thus far is that before u take a leap into solving a problem in full length, try and look for some hidden links between the problem statement and the answer choices. For example, refer to the following problem below that I recently found on this forum:
The perimeters of Square S and rectangular region R are equal. If the sides of R are in the ratio 2:3, what is the ratio of the area of region R to the area of region S?
a) 25:26
b) 24:25
c) 5:6
d) 4:5
e) 4:9
Since the sides of the rectangle is given to be in the ratio of 2:3, the area (of the rectangle)(LxB) has to be a multiple of 6 (2x3).
The only option is B.
By recognizing this link I didn't have to go on and solve for the areas of both the figures and then calculate the ratio.
As for the probability and permutation, i found some videos on the net that discuss the basic techniques at length and I have had lesser issues in these areas post watching those. Will post the link if I can find it.
