I worked in the USA for a Big 4 around 3 yrs in a CIO Advisory role followed by a consulting role in IT Business Management/ Cost optimization role for 2 years. I am now a Deputy Manager in a similar role at one of the largest US based insurance company in INDIA.

In a gist I am into FinTech domain for 6 years.

I want to pursue MBA for 2 reasons money and position to actually make a difference.

Considering my experience and a 2 year MBA from top 20 B schools, could you help me gauge perspective salary and position/Role offered in Consulting or Finance Domain?

Also, could you please suggest me a 1 yr Executive MBA programs that could help me?

Thanks,
Tinku

Hi tinku143,

Compensation would be around $150k. You may find this data, industry-wise, in the employment reports of B-schools. Here is an example (Stern). Just Google '[school name] + employment report' to get it for any school.

Second, executive programs are more for professionals with 10-12 year work experience who want to transition to the next leadership level. You may get more information on Executive MBA in this post:

For career-changers, the best bet is 2-year full-time program.

I think the above response is about right. $150,000 may be on the highest end, but if you include bonuses it's about right. But the key to an MBA isn't the initial salary that you'll make immediately post-MBA, but rather 5-10years out.
My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.
