Please evaluate my profile phd 3yr work exp.

please help me in deciding best fit for my case

academic: very strong undergrad and grad GPA (3.7+), phd from georgia tech in electronics, 10+ publications and presentations in US, europe and asia, 1 US patent, inventor recognition award from major organization in US

professional:
1 yr teaching assistant georgia tech (took a lab class)
3 yr research assistant exp, solved real technical problems reducing cost of manufacturing chis,
3 yr full time industry exp in a big semiconductor company, project management, leadership roles, excellent reviews, one promotion, got best rating in 3 of 4 professional performance reviews, got personal commendation from VP of company for performance.

recommendations: current manager, community service manager

gmat: 760 (51+42+5.0)

community service:
2 yr (2hr/week) tutoring and motivating learners
2 yr (2hr/week) managing a computer literacy lab and designing computer workshops
opened a charitable society in india for helping poor kids in schools, in process of registering it officially (fund raising, website designing etc)

languages: hindi (native), french(basic)

shooting for R1 2009.

schools: stanford, sloan, uchicago, haas, duke, tuck, kellogg, wharton

post mba goals: consulting (specialization in electronics industry)

please let me know what chance do i stand? which schools among these are a better fit for me.

Dear shalabh,

Round 1 for 2009 entry has passed, so I hope you mean applying in round 1 this fall for entry in 2010. I think you have a competitive profile for any school, but you need to determine which schools are the best match for you. Figure out what you are looking for in a program in terms of curriculum, resources, career opportunities and culture; then you will need to prioritize your list. Once you have that, then you can evaluate each school to determine if it is a good fit. Your posted list is full of great schools, but they are all the most competitive. I think you should probably apply to the 3-4 that are the best fit and then select a program that is outside the top 15 for a safety option. You might get into your top choice, but it is always good to have an alternative. Likewise, I think you will find some fabulous schools in the 15-30 range.

Yes , I will apply for 2010, my mistake!
I am shortlisting the schools and so far this is what I have come up with.

Stanford(dream school)
Sloan
Wharton
Hass
Ross or Tuck

Can you please point out a few 15-30 ranked schools (ones you were referring) considering my inclination for consulting or technology sector jobs after graduating?
Greatly appreciate any information!
