by matt1225 » Fri Sep 12, 2008 1:18 pm
I was hoping someone could give me some insight into my chances at Tuck, Darden, Fuqua, to name a few. Got a 680 on the GMAT and have an undergrad GPA of 3.4 Taught English as a second language in Asia after UG and have been working at an startup since. How does this application look?

Thanks

Dear matt1225,

With the limited information you provided, you appear to have the foundation for a competitive application. As with any other candidate, it is important for you to showcase your leadership and managerial skills, provide a solid rationale for an MBA in relation to your future career goals, and find a way to distinguish yourself from the rest of the applicant pool. Your GMAT is a little below average for these schools, but by no means are you out of range.

Good luck,
Lisa
