Now to the question at hand, B is incorrect because "for the decision at its founding" is wordy. Why use a noun "the decision" when you should use a verb. They are famous for deciding, not for their decision. The GMAT prefers a verb to a noun. A little rule to remember: An active verb is usually stronger and more concise than and adjective or a noun (Make this a flash card: V>A>N) Hope this helps
