For starters, next time can you please underline the portion of the text under question. That will make it much easier for others to understand the question.

Now to the question at hand, B is incorrect because "for the decision at its founding" is wordy. Why use a noun "the decision" when you should use a verb. They are famous for deciding, not for their decision. The GMAT prefers a verb to a noun. A little rule to remember: An active verb is usually stronger and more concise than and adjective or a noun (Make this a flash card: V>A>N) Hope this helps
